Advanced Diagnostics for Answers You Can Trust

When your pet isn’t feeling their best, answers matter. At Sugar House Veterinary, we use advanced diagnostic tools and on-site laboratory testing to quickly and accurately identify what’s going on — so we can begin the right treatment without unnecessary delays.

Our experienced veterinarians collaborate on complex cases, combining clinical expertise with modern technology to provide clear answers and effective care. Because when it comes to your pet’s health, guesswork simply isn’t good enough.

Comprehensive Diagnostic Services

We offer a wide range of diagnostic tools to evaluate illness, injury, and underlying medical conditions, including:

  • Digital Radiology (X-rays)
  • Ultrasound Imaging
  • In-House Blood Chemistry Panels
  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Urinalysis
  • Fecal Testing & Parasite Screening
  • Cytology (ear, skin, and mass evaluations)
  • Biopsy & Histopathology Submission
  • Pre-Anesthetic Screening
  • Allergy Testing

Digital Radiology (X-rays)

Digital X-rays allow us to evaluate bones, joints, lungs, heart size, abdominal organs, and more. This fast, non-invasive tool helps diagnose fractures, foreign bodies, tumors, and other internal concerns with clarity and precision.

Ultrasound Imaging

Ultrasound provides a real-time look at internal organs and soft tissues. It is especially helpful for evaluating the liver, kidneys, bladder, spleen, and heart, as well as investigating unexplained symptoms such as vomiting or fluid accumulation.
In-House Laboratory Testing
Our on-site laboratory allows us to perform bloodwork, urinalysis, and other testing with rapid turnaround times — often during the same visit. Faster results mean quicker treatment decisions and better outcomes for your pet.

Personalized Treatment Plans

Diagnostics are only the first step. Once we have clear answers, our doctors create a treatment plan tailored specifically to your pet’s condition, age, lifestyle, and overall health.

Whether treatment involves medication, nutritional support, advanced procedures, or surgical intervention, our goal is to deliver thoughtful, individualized care designed for the best possible outcome.

When Should You Schedule Diagnostic Testing?

If your pet is showing unusual symptoms — such as lethargy, vomiting, coughing, weight changes, or behavioral shifts — early diagnostic evaluation can make all the difference. Many conditions are far easier to treat when identified early.

If you have concerns about your pet’s health, we’re here to help provide clarity and next steps with confidence and compassion.
