Our Doctors

Gregg Latimer, DVM

Dr. Latimer graduated from Washington State University in 1987. He practiced in Arizona for 1 year before moving to Utah. Dr. Latimer joined Sugar House Veterinary Hospital in 2003. His areas of particular interest are orthopedics and emergency medicine. Dr. Latimer and his wife Helen are the parents of 8 children. In his free time he enjoys trail riding with his Missouri Fox Trotters, scuba diving, and camping.

Jennifer Van Wagoner, DVM

Dr. Van Wagoner graduated from the University of Utah with her Bachelor of Science degree then went on to graduate from Colorado State University with her DVM. Dr. Van Wagoner’s veterinary interest include Dermatology and Internal Medicine. In her spare time Dr. Van Wagoner enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs and two cats.

Eric D. Belnap, DVM

Dr. Belnap graduated from Colorado State University in 1986. He has been practicing at Sugar House Veterinary Hospital since 1987. Dr. Belnap resides in Bountiful with his wife, Laura. He has 1 cat named Mr. Jinx and 5 Missouri Fox Trotter horses. He has served on the board of the Humane Society of Utah for the last 18 years and is currently the Vice President. Dr. Belnap loves being a veterinarian; he loves taking care of pets and their people.

Amanda Perez, DVM

Dr. Amanda Perez is a Southern California native who moved to Utah to experience seasonal weather and a better view. After graduating from the University of Berkeley with her Bachelor of Science degree, she took a couple of years off to immerse herself in the field of veterinary medicine before applying and then graduating from the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Her veterinary interests include preventative care, behavior, neurology, shelter medicine and geriatric care. Outside of work, she calls herself an amateur bird watcher and enjoys snowboarding, running and traveling. She also indulges in an occasional reality television series to complete her health and wellness. She is excited to call Utah her new home and hopes to find a new beagle/hound soon to welcome into her life while taking care of the wonderful patients and clients at Sugar House Veterinary Hospital!

Jaime Nett-Johnson, DVM

Following a few years of college and a few years of living and working on the west coast, Dr. Nett returned to her hometown in North Dakota to complete a bachelor’s degree in biology and then graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. She returned to North Dakota after graduation to pursue small animal practice in a challenging, rural setting, and, after nearly a decade, moved to northern Utah with her family in 2018 when her husband took a job with the men’s basketball program at Utah State University. She has been enjoying practice in Ogden for the past 3 years but was excited for the opportunity to move into a more urban practice area when her husband took a job with the University of Utah this spring. Dr. Nett enjoys several areas of general practice, including preventative medicine, weight management, pain management, and the individualized care of geriatric patients and their people. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her husband, son, two dogs and Weber County rescue cat. In addition to being a vet, she is a mom, a wife, a cook, a baker, a music lover, an avid reader, a hiker, and a basketball fan and is looking forward to making Salt Lake City and Sugar House Veterinary Hospital her home.

Madison Gravitte, DVM

Dr. Madison Gravitte hails from Virginia, where the mountains are small and blue. After graduating from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, she moved west to experience life in bigger mountains. Dr. Gravitte’s veterinary interests include surgery, preventative care, and internal medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Gravitte enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, Kona (mixed breed) and Kye (boxer). Her hobbies include skiing, mountain biking, and pottery. She is looking forward to establishing meaningful relationships with the pets and clients of Sugarhouse Veterinary Hospital!
