Gregg Latimer, DVM

Meet Dr. Gregg Latimer, a highly skilled veterinarian dedicated to providing top-notch care for your furry companions. Dr. Latimer earned his degree in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 1987, marking the beginning of a fulfilling career in animal health.

After a year of practice in Arizona, Dr. Latimer decided to bring his expertise to Utah, where he has become an esteemed member of the veterinary community. In 2003, he joined Sugar House Veterinary Hospital, a decision that has allowed him to contribute significantly to the well-being of pets in the area.

Dr. Latimer has developed a special focus on orthopedics and emergency medicine, showcasing his commitment to addressing critical and specialized aspects of veterinary care. His passion for these areas reflects his dedication to ensuring the best possible outcomes for pets facing challenging health issues.

Beyond the hospital, Dr. Latimer is a family man. Alongside his wife Helen, they are proud parents to eight children, creating a vibrant and caring family environment. This sense of familial love extends to his approach to veterinary care, where he treats each pet with the same level of compassion and attention.

In his free time, Dr. Latimer enjoys a variety of activities that reflect his adventurous spirit. Whether it’s trail riding with his Missouri Fox Trotters, exploring the depths while scuba diving, or reconnecting with nature through camping, Dr. Latimer finds joy in the balance between his professional and personal pursuits.

Eric D. Belnap, DVM

Meet Dr. Eric Belnap, a dedicated veterinarian with a rich history of service and a genuine passion for animal care. Dr. Belnap embarked on his veterinary journey at Colorado State University, where he graduated in 1986, equipped with the knowledge and skills that would shape his illustrious career.

Since 1987, Dr. Belnap has been a valued member of the Sugar House Veterinary Hospital, where his commitment to excellence in pet care has made a lasting impact. With years of experience, he has become a trusted figure in the veterinary community, earning the gratitude and trust of countless pet owners.

Residing in the scenic town of Bountiful with his wife, Laura, Dr. Belnap shares his home with a furry family. Among them is Mr. Jinx, a charming cat, and five Missouri Fox Trotter horses, reflecting his love for these majestic animals. The Belnap household is a testament to their shared passion for animals and the joy they bring to their lives.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Belnap is actively involved in serving the community. For the past 18 years, he has dedicated his time and expertise to the Humane Society of Utah, where he currently holds the position of Vice President. His longstanding commitment to the organization highlights his belief in the importance of animal welfare and advocacy.

Dr. Belnap’s love for his profession shines through in every aspect of his work. He finds joy in taking care of pets and their people, making a positive impact on the lives of both animals and their human companions. As a veterinarian, community leader, and advocate for animal welfare, Dr. Eric Belnap continues to make a significant contribution to the well-being of pets in Bountiful and beyond.

Amanda Perez, DVM

Dr. Amanda Perez brings a vibrant and compassionate approach to veterinary care, hailing from the sunny landscapes of Southern California. Seeking a change and a better view, she made the move to Utah to experience the beauty of seasonal weather.

A proud graduate of the University of Berkeley, Dr. Perez earned her Bachelor of Science degree before delving into the world of veterinary medicine. After a few immersive years in the field, she pursued her passion at the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with distinction in 2020.

Dr. Perez’s veterinary interests showcase her comprehensive approach to animal health. From preventative care to behavior, neurology, shelter medicine, and geriatric care, she is committed to addressing the diverse needs of her patients. Her dedication extends beyond the clinic as she actively participates in promoting the well-being of animals in various aspects of their lives.

Outside of her veterinary pursuits, Dr. Perez embraces the wonders of nature as an amateur bird watcher. Whether she’s gliding down snowy slopes, hitting the pavement for a run, or exploring new destinations, she finds joy in an active and adventurous lifestyle. Balancing her active pursuits, Dr. Perez occasionally indulges in reality television series, viewing them as a unique complement to her overall health and wellness routine.

Utah has become Dr. Perez’s new home, and she is thrilled to be a part of the Sugar House Veterinary Hospital team. As she cares for the wonderful patients and clients, she also looks forward to welcoming a new beagle/hound into her life, embodying her commitment to fostering loving connections between pets and their human companions. Dr. Amanda Perez is not just a veterinarian; she is a dedicated advocate for animal well-being and an enthusiastic member of the Utah community.

KELLY HUSTON, DVM

Born and raised on a sprawling farm in southern Iowa, Dr. Kelly Huston’s lifelong journey with animals began at the age of 8. From that young age, her dream of becoming a veterinarian has only flourished, fueled by a deep love for the well-being of animals.

Kelly’s academic pursuits led her to Iowa State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Husbandry, Microbiology, and Physiology. Not only a scholar, but she also showcased her athleticism as a competitor for the Iowa State Collegiate Gymnastics team and as a skilled barrel racer for their rodeo team.

After achieving her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University, Kelly initially ventured into equine medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona. However, her affection for companion animals and the allure of the picturesque state of Utah eventually drew her to establish roots here, where she has been practicing for the last 30 years.

Dr. Huston’s professional interests have evolved to encompass dentistry, internal medicine, and ensuring a healthy start for puppies and kittens. Her commitment goes beyond medical expertise; she is passionate about cultivating a deep connection with both her clients and their furry companions, fostering a fear-free environment in her practice.

In addition to her thriving veterinary career, Dr. Huston is a devoted mother who raised two beautiful children. Her adventurous spirit led her to activities like rock climbing, hiking, and even bodybuilding. Engaging with various shelter groups, she actively contributed to the well-being of animals in need.

As time has progressed, Dr. Huston has found contentment in-home activities, spending cherished moments with her dog, and eagerly anticipating the joys of welcoming grandchildren into her life. Her journey reflects not just a seasoned veterinarian but a compassionate individual who has left a lasting impact on the well-being of animals and their human companions in Utah.

Charles Gold, DVM
CHARLES GOLD, DVM

Meet Dr. Charles Gold, a seasoned veterinarian with a passion for animal care and a wealth of experience.

In 1985, Dr. Gold earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University, laying the foundation for his dedicated career in the field. With a strong family tradition in veterinary medicine, including his father, wife, uncle, cousin, and even extended family members, Dr. Gold is proud to continue the legacy of compassionate care.

For an impressive 35 years, Dr. Gold has been an integral part of Forest Hills Pet Care, bringing his expertise and commitment to the well-being of furry companions. His extensive experience and genuine love for animals have made him a trusted figure in the community.

Outside the veterinary clinic, Dr. Gold is a devoted family man. He is happily married with three daughters and seven grandchildren, forming a family deeply rooted in a shared love for animals. At home, Dr. Gold enjoys the companionship of his two delightful dogs, “Ditto,” a Standard Poodle, and “Beasley,” a lovable Husky Mix.

Dr. Gold’s interests extend beyond the world of veterinary medicine. An avid traveler, he finds joy in exploring new places and has a particular fondness for Italy, having embarked on memorable journeys to this enchanting country. His upcoming adventure includes a planned trip to Norway in 2024, where he looks forward to experiencing the beauty of this Scandinavian gem.

Closer to home, Dr. Gold appreciates the stunning landscapes of Southern Utah’s Red Rock Country, finding solace and inspiration in the natural beauty that surrounds him. When not caring for animals or exploring the great outdoors, he enjoys indulging in his love for reading, gardening, and watching movies.

With a unique blend of professional expertise and personal interests, Dr. Charles Gold is not just a veterinarian; he is a compassionate caregiver, a dedicated family man, and a seasoned adventurer with a heart for animals.
